Printing

Printing came to Unisignco through acquisition rather than as a sideline. In 2016 we acquired Bay Area Imaging, a Webster, Texas company built around wide format printing and interior graphics, and that equipment and expertise now runs out of our Santa Fe, Texas facility.

That history is why the range here is wider than most sign companies offer. Wide format and digital printing cover the commercial end: banners, sign faces, vehicle and window graphics, retail displays and event material. Giclée printing and photo restoration cover the fine art end, reproducing artwork and bringing faded or damaged originals back to a printable state.

Because the printing happens in house, printed graphics can be specified as part of a larger signage package instead of being sourced separately, which keeps color and material choices consistent across a project. On the commercial side, the same wide format equipment covers a wide spread of jobs. Banners for events, grand openings and job sites. Printed faces for existing sign cabinets, which keeps the cabinet and structure in place and changes only the graphic. Window and storefront graphics, including perforated film that reads as a graphic outside while staying reasonably clear from inside. Vehicle lettering and full wraps. Wall coverings and murals for interiors. Point of purchase and retail displays that change with the season.

The fine art side runs on the same floor but to a different standard. Giclée printing reproduces artwork and photography for artists, galleries and collectors. Photo restoration takes a faded, stained or physically damaged original and works it back to something printable, which is often the only route left for a family photograph or a piece of company history that exists in one copy.

What we need from you is artwork we can work with. Vector files are ideal because they scale to any size without softening, which matters more than people expect when a logo goes from a business card to a thirty foot banner. High resolution raster files are fine for photographic work. If all you have is a low resolution file, a screenshot or a printed copy, send it anyway and we will tell you honestly whether it will hold up at the size you want or whether it needs to be redrawn first.
